A Penalty Kick is taken when the defending team commits a foul or hand ball within their penalty area (The big white box in front of the goal)

The ball is kicked from the penalty spot in front of the goal.

No players may enter the penalty area or the penalty arc until the ball is kicked.

If the ball rebounds off of the goalkeeper or goal and stays on the field, the ball is in play and anyone can play it.
